Sun or Ascendant in Capricorn with Ray 7

.

Sun Capricorn (or Ascendant Capricorn), R7P (or R7S)
Plus Constellationally Transmitted R1, R3 and R7

A very mutual reinforcement of ray and astrological energies emerges due to the constellational transmission of the seventh ray—and in greatest strength—through Capricorn. The appropriate category of reinforcement would be, Very Strong by Constellational Transmission. Additional mind reinforcements would come through any seventh ray transmission through Saturn—Lord of the systemic and cosmic physical planes—each of them the seventh plane in a series of seven planes.

The seventh ray does not appear in decanate ruler transmissions; only in relation to Vulcan {linked to Mercury and the Sun in the third esoterically sequenced decanate} is there a seventh ray association—with the mineral kingdom.

Selfish, Self-Centered or Self-Serving Human Being

Selfish, Self-centered or Self-Serving Human Being

i.      The unwillingness to bend the rulesan attitude characteristic of the self-centered Capricorn person combines with the tendency towards unoriginal routinization induced within the insufficiently spiritualized personality by the seventh ray.

ii.      The “dead letter of the law”.

iii.     A life governed by policies. Hiding behind those policies.

iv.     Imitativeness. Lack of originality.

v.       Dread of surprises. Fear of changing a plan suddenly. Lack of spontaneity. Lack of adaptability.

vi.     The tyranny of tradition. The confines of custom. The paralysis of precedent.

vii.    Loss of touch with oneself as a living source.

viii.   Life consumed by externalities, trivia, inconsequentialities.

ix.    Crystallized sameness; inability to grow.

x.      Rejecting the new.

xi.    The forces of conservatism. Legalistic, bureaucratic obstructionism.

xii.   The small conquers the great; the “letter” suffocates the spirit.

xiii.  Mummification. The soul and spirit entombed.

Advanced Human Being; Aspirant; Disciple: Additionally, where relevant, combine Ascendant Sign with the ray of either the ray of the personality or soul.

Advanced Human Being; Aspirant; Disciple

i.   The regulatory and governing powers of the advancing Capricorn individual combine with the organizing, administrative abilities induced within the spiritually unfolding personality by the seventh ray.

ii.      “Walking the talk”.

iii.    Considerable supervisory, managerial and coordinative abilities.

iv.    Political and economic effectiveness; creating a reliable foundation.

v.      Great powers of stabilization. Steadfastness in action.

vi.    Smoothly functioning division of labor.

vii.   Knowledge made useful. Wisdom in application.

viii.  On the Path of Discipleship: the practical and practising disciple.

ix.   On the Path of Discipleship: creating a well-organized program of discipleship service.

x.    On the Path of Discipleship: regularity of spiritual habits (for instance, regularity of meditation).

xi.   On the Path of Discipleship: excellent timing in the application of energy and force.

Advanced Disciple; the Initiate
Additionally, where relevant,  combine Ascendant Sign, Capricorn, with the seventh ray as either the ray of the personality or soul

i.   The power to fulfill an increasing measure of karmic obligations—a power possessed by the soul-infused disciple/initiate born in or under the sign Capricorn, combines with the magic of skill-in-action induced within the soul or spiritualized personality by the blank ray.

ii.   Capacity to fulfill the “Five P’s”: Purpose, Planning, Programme, Pattern, Precipitation. (cf. DINA II 361-362)

iii.    Perfected control of the personality life. Strict alignment between thought, word and deed. Demonstrable Hierarchy in action.

iv.   The skillful white magician.

v.    As an initiate—living a life of “sanctified normality”. (IHS 205)

vi.   Consummate skill-in-action. Polished execution. Perfected enactment.

vii.   A completely reliable member of the Ashram. Alignment is precise, and the ability to transfer Ashramic purpose into practical execution of Ashramic intention is (within inevitable limitations) virtually faultless.

viii.   In this combination above all other, “The Highest and the Lowest Meet”. Capricorn is the diamond, containing the point of elevation and the point of deepest immersion. The seventh ray as well governs both “heaven” and “earth”, as well as the relation between.

ix.     Consummation. Perhaps even the third, fifth and seventh initiations could be assisted by this unification of energies, for Saturn is important in each, and in each there is the completion of a unit of occult work—the first involving an integration and transcendence of three planes, the next,  five planes and the next involving seven planes.

Mantram for the Initiate’s Consciousness
“The Highest and the Lowest Meet” for one who upright takes his stand, in synthesis, in “isolated unity”, perceived upon the “mountain top” by those who conquer death through lawful magic—Magic White.

Discover Potentials to be Derived from
Energetic Similarities Between Capricorn and R7

Utilize these similarities to further understand how these two energies may combine with or reinforce each other (for better of for worse) when they are found within the same energy system.

A.      Capricorn and the Seventh Ray Powerfully Connected: There is a very powerful connection between these two energies as, in this world period, the seventh ray is transmitted in greatest strength through the constellation Capricorn.

B.     Facility upon the Physical Plane: Both types work with facility upon the lowest, or physical, plane.

C.     Respect for Laws, Rules and Regulations: Both Capricorn and the seventh ray endow those they influence with the greatest respect for laws, rules and regulations.

D.     Aptitude for the Magical Process: These energies confer aptitude for the magical process. Whether this results in white or black magic will depend upon other factors.

E.     Strong Sense of Responsibility: Each of these influences is endowed with a strong sense of responsibility.

F.      Developed Powers of Organization: Both have in common considerable powers of organization and an aptitude for organizational work.

G.     Ability to Manifest: Both types are excellent in the ability to manifest.

H.     Fulfilling Dharma: The question of dharma is of deep concern to both types. Finding the true vocation or calling (“vocational placement”) is of paramount importance to both.

I.     Pronounced Business Aptitudes: As well, they both share business aptitudes.

J.       Right Conduct and Behavior: For both types, right conduct and right behavior are important issues.

K.     Interest in Law and Laws: Both types are involved with the law, giving careful attention even to the “letter of the law”.

L.      Bureaucratic Temperament: These energies can combine for form a bureaucratic temperament. Together, they represent the office as opposed to the home.

M.     Conservatism and Rigidity: Rigidity is a liability for those influenced by either or both of these energies. Other factors notwithstanding, these are very conservative influences.

N.     Integration and Union: Capricorn (like Virgo, only with more power) represents the union of the three aspects of divinity through the three periodical vehicles (personality, soul and spirit). The synthesizing seventh ray is also ‘vertically unitive’—uniting and coordinating first the three and then the two (“The Highest and the Lowest Meet”.

O.    Perfected Diamond. Both energies rule the formation of the perfect diamond.

P.     Closely Related to the First Initiation: These energies are two which participate in the first initiation. The seventh ray is the most significant at this initiation, and Capricorn governs all five of the initiation with which we are most familiar, including the first—the birth initiation. Capricorn has always been associated with the “birth of the Christ”—another name for the first initiation.

Q.    Arguably Related to Third, Fifth and Seventh Initiations: Each involves a Capricornian mastery of planes—three planes for the third initiation, five for the fifth and seven for the seventh. The sequential control of the three, five and seven is furthered by the regulatory, masterful seventh ray.
