Meditations on Identification 5: Arithmetic Doesn’t REALLY Work on YOU.<\/p>\n

Dear Friends of the Ageless Wisdom and of \u2018REALITY\u2019,<\/p>\n

Every once in a while I am struck by something which I would like to share with you\u2014something, “far out”\u2014yes, but maybe something which can change our perspective on the life we are living and create in us a change for the better. This morning, while walking uphill on an uncharacteristically warm day here in Finland, I was struck (maybe struck again) by the idea that arithmetic just doesn’t work when applied to the SELF and its apparent sequential experience. To this INFINITE SELF, nothing can be added; from this INFINITE SELF nothing can be subtracted. Nor can IT be divided or multiplied. (By what other than THAT WHICH IT FOREVER IS could it be multiplied?!) There are some startling implications to this line of thought, and I felt impelled to share with you some reflections upon the idea that \u2018one cannot operate arithmetically upon the SELF, which ‘8<\/strong>‘ AM, which ‘O<\/strong>‘ AM, i.e., which ‘ ‘ AM. The last symbolic representation is the truest to REALITY.<\/p>\n

So if you have the patience for about an hour, please listen in and meditate with ‘me’ a little, and see if any of this makes sense to you.<\/p>\n

Meditations on Identification 4: I Substand All and Pervade All.<\/p>\n

Dear Friends of the Ageless Wisdom,<\/p>\n

As some of you know, I have been working on a Webinar Series called\u00a0Meditations on Identification<\/em>\u2014(part of a larger series called\u00a0Adventures in Identification<\/em>) I offer these meditations periodically, when I feel inspired to do so; therefore they may be few and far between.<\/p>\n

I had another moment of inspiration this morning and in this program I am sharing with you a few more ‘magical words’ (acronyms for mantric phrases) which can be used to induce the realization of identification\u2014at least they work for me; you may find others more useful.<\/p>\n

I discuss some of these words and ideas as an introduction to a short meditation on some of the key mantrams: such as ISA: “I Substand All”; or ISAPA: “I Substand and Pervade All”; ILACOB: “I Live As Continuity of Being”\u2014and quite a few others which are related and, I think, evocative.<\/p>\n

Being<\/em>\u00a0is that which we need to grasp, realize, become and, yes, BE\u2014all the while living a useful productive life in the World of Illusion\u2014our ordinary differentiated reality (more \u2018actuality\u2019 than Reality). In our present much-attenuated state of ‘monadic-extension’ it takes\u00a0practice<\/em>\u2014attention given every day to\u00a0being<\/em>, or really, to the\u00a0realization of being<\/em>.<\/p>\n

I hope ‘relative you’ gets something out of the program. ‘Relative I’ have enjoyed making it.<\/p>\n

It is no easy matter to resolve all the many into the One, nor to realize that the One not only pervades but\u00a0IS<\/em>\u00a0the Many. This little meditation may offer a method of approach which you will find useful in this quest and which you may adapt according to the nature of your mind and consciousness. Meditations on Identification 2: Being Everywhere. 38 minutes. Friends, this meditation or reflection focuses on a fundamental requirement for developing harmlessness.\u00a0\u201cHarmlessness is the expression of the life of the man who realizes himself to be everywhere,<\/em>who lives consciously as a soul, whose nature is love, whose method is inclusiveness, and to whom all forms are alike in that they veil and hide the light, and are but externalizations of [Page 103] the one Infinite Being. (TWM 102-103) The highlighted requirement is a radical demand. The meditation attempts to help us fulfill this required realization, and of course, the meditation requires repetition and practice. See if you can find\u00a0yourself\u00a0<\/em>\u2018everywhere\u2019.<\/p>\n
