Egoic Lotus Webinar Commentaries 66: Charts Overview 3. This webinar is about 3 hours, 30 minutes long. Program 66 continues a brief overview of charts which allow us easily to compare one petal to another in terms of many descriptive categories. This program closes the series of chart examinations: there are several subjects covered: chakras in relation to the petals; the petals and the senses; the petals—the Means of Yoga, the paths and truths; the petals, fires and rules; the petals, lights and keynotes; the petals and others correspondences of twelves; the petals colors and numbers.

These charts are by no means as complete as the programs which focused intensively on each petal, but they should have some value in demonstrating patterns across a twelve-petalled range. The purpose of these charts is to summarize and simplify a mass of detailed material.

Egoic Lotus Webinar Commentaries 60: Foundational References for Synthesis Petals. This webinar is about 1 hour, 40 minutes long. Program 60 offers commentary on a number of foundational references dealing with the origin, nature and function of the petals of synthesis—the tenth, eleventh and twelfth petals of the egoic lotus. They are distinct from the earlier nine and have a mode of development which is both interesting and unusual. Our attention is drawn to these petals in a practical manner when we have passed the third initiation and are working towards the fourth.

Egoic Lotus Webinar Commentaries 59: Part 3 of Synthesis for Petal 9. This webinar is about 3 hours, 6 minutes long. Program 59 offers the third of the commentaries for the Synthesis of Petal 9—the third Petal of Sacrifice: Sacrifice/Love. In terms of the 80 point outline we have been using, it takes us from Point 37 through the final point, Point 80. The work in this petal is climactic and when fully unfolded represents the achievement of the third degree, the Transfiguration. Sanat Kumara is the Initiator at this petal. So many energies and forces come together in the work and unfoldment of this petals that all zodiacal signs, all planetary influences and all rays can be understood as playing a prominent part. Through work in this petal and through the application of the Rod of Power, the candidate becomes the true initiate in the eyes of the Spiritual Hierarchy. The demands of sacrifice are very great—”the utter sacrifice of all forever”. The human being can begin to live truly as a soul, consciously influenced by the Spirit aspect Monad. This discussion focuses in some detail on the Temptations in the Desert—the confrontation between Christ and the Devil. Passing through and beyond these temptations is discussed in terms of the processes for both Petal 8 and Petal 9.

Egoic Lotus Webinar Commentaries 56: Part 4 of Synthesis for Petal 8. This webinar is about 1 hour 32 minutes long. Program 56 offers the fourth of the commentaries for the Synthesis of Petal 8—the second Petal of Sacrifice: Sacrifice/Love. In terms of the 80 point outline we have been using, it takes us from Point 60 through the final point in the outline, Point 60. This petal is closely related to the Human Creative Hierarchy which is ruled by Scorpio and Mercury—the sign most associated with Petal 8 and the planet intimately concerned with the tasks related to the unfoldment of Petal 8. This is the petal in which the second initiation is taken, though the petal is not completely unfolded until after the application of the Rod of Initiation. It takes a long time relatively, to open Petal 8 because of the many lives which usually separate the first and second initiations. In the experiences of this petal, much suffering is endured as the probationary initiate prepares to “enter the Stream”.

Egoic Lotus Webinar Commentaries 52: Part 4 of Synthesis for Petal 7. This webinar is about 1 hour, 37 minutes long. Program 52 offers the third of the commentaries for the Synthesis of Petal 7. In terms of the 80 point outline we have been using, it takes us from Point 58 through Point 80, which is the collection of miscellaneous statements referring generally to Petal 7. Petal 7 is deeply implicated in the preparation for and taking of the first initiation—requiring both strenuous and abnormal efforts on the part of the candidate and also the application of the Rod of Initiation by the Bodhisattva. Both of these methods hasten the opening of the petal. Presently it does not open in a natural manner; rather its opening is forced. This petal is the first of the sacrifice petals and comes under the category of Sacrifice/Knowledge. The method of sacrifice used to serve is through will and knowledge especially. Through the work accomplished in this petal the disciple begins to connect in a more disciplined manner with the soul or Higher Self and expresses this contact in service. This particular program discusses the relationship of various other disciplines—the Yoga Sutras, the Kabbala, the Tarot, the Beatitudes to the processes which occur in relation to Petal 7.

Egoic Lotus Webinar Commentaries 48: The 777 Incarnations, Part 2. This webinar is about 2 hours, 37 minutes long. Program 48 continues as a Bridging Commentary based upon pages 827-830 of TCF. The main focus of the program is the symbolic 777 Incarnations and their relation to the three tiers of petals, the Three Halls and to the general unfoldment of the egoic lotus. The 700 and the 70 Incarnations were discussed in Program 47. Program 48 focuses particularly upon the 7 Incarnations—those associated with the Path of Probation. Does the Path of Probation end at the first initiation or only when the first degree initiate becomes an accepted disciple? These two different perspectives are contrasted. Certain vital references are explored for the stable orientation they confer upon the mind attempting to understand this intricate subject.

The Four Noble Truths, the Noble Eightfold Path, the Commandments of Yoga, the Rules of Yoga, the Beatitudes, etc., to see if there are correlations. Correlations with the Tarot and Sephiroth of the Kabbala are also briefly discussed. We close with a collection of summary comments generated by a number of TCF classes which were studying this section on the egoic lotus.

Egoic Lotus Webinar Commentaries 45: Part 4 of Synthesis for Petal 6. This webinar is about 2 hours, 2 minutes long. Program 45 continues with an analysis of the Synthesis Document for Petal 6. This sixth petal is particularly related to the process of treading the Path of Probation, assuming that the Path of Probation ends at the first initiation. Some perspectives see that Path continuing until the stage of “Accepted Discipleship” is reached. This sixth petal is largely correlated with the sign Virgo (but also with Pisces) and is a ‘petal of self-correction’. One strives to correct one’s selfish tendencies for the sake of the welfare of the group. One can see that work towards the Christ-consciousness is in process. This is an important petal for those transferring off the Mutable Cross onto the Fixed Cross at the first initiation. In this program the relationship of the various planets and signs are discussed in relation to Petal 6 Processes.

Egoic Lotus Webinar Commentaries 44: Part 3 of Synthesis for Petal 6. This webinar is about 2 hours, 3 minutes long. Program 44 continues with an analysis of the Synthesis Document for Petal 6.

Egoic Lotus Webinar Commentaries 43: Part 2 of Synthesis for Petal 6. This webinar is about 2 hours long. Program 43, begins with a discussion of various important references which can act as anchor points in our attempt to piece together the jig-saw puzzle of information related to the unfoldment of the petals of the egoic lotus. Other hypothetical names for this petal are offered as well. One strives to correct one’s selfish tendencies for the sake of the welfare of the group. One can see that work towards the Christ-consciousness is in process. Some analysis is offered of the Path of Human Evolution in terms of several colors—red, green, orange, blue, rose and radiant white light.

Egoic Lotus Webinar Commentaries 41: Part 2 of Synthesis for Petal 5. This webinar is about 4 hours long. Program 41, discusses the contributions of many energy-force influences which are active in producing the Petal 5 experience which is a pivotal experience resulting in the first “Reversal of the Wheel” and signals the time when the Solar Angel becomes a “downward gazing soul” which supervises the development of its projection—the soul-in-incarnation. Though man must labor at organizing and vitalizing the petals, from the fifth petal onward the Solar Angel is involved in promoting their unfolding. In the study of the next four petals our focus will be on the Path of Probation, the second initiation and the third initiations. Work is being done in P6 while P5 is unfolding. The development of P6 ranges all the way from the Path of Probation to the second initiation.

Egoic Lotus Webinar Commentaries 34/35: Synthesis for Petal 2. This webinar is about 5 hours long. Programs 34 and 35 discuss the contributions of many energy-force influences which are active in producing the long Petal 2 experience—spanning, by some reckonings, perhaps 11.000,000 years—the duration of the Atlantean Period dating from early Atlantean times on our Earth-globe. The Atlantean civilizations were primarily emotional. Three kinds of “Petals of the First Circle” are found in relation to the development of this petal: the “Lotuses of Brahman”; ‘the Emotional Lotuses’—a term proposed for a useful intermediary category; and the “Lotuses of Passion and Desire”. Many millions maybe billions of modern Atlanteans exist today and presumably are working within or unfolding the second petal.

Program 32 discusses the meaning of the colors found in the petals of the second and third tiers of the egoic lotus—the love tier and the sacrifice tier. The meaning of each color is referred to the type of experience through which the individual ‘working’ in the love tier and sacrifice tier must pass. As we progress through the petals, we will see that, though the same colors are repeated, their meaning is slightly different in each successive tier of petals.

Egoic Lotus Webinar Commentaries 30. This webinar is about 1 hour, 33 minutes long and covers A Treatise on Cosmic Fire pages 820-822. Program 30 is the introductory program for TCF 820—825. The petals of the egoic lotus are going to be discussed from yet another angle of vision, including the presentation of the colors to be associated with each petal. This program deals with the particular function of each of the three tiers in terms of knowledge, love and sacrifice; with the kinds of Agnishvattas which substand each tier and each petal of those tiers; and also with the influence which greater Beings or Buddhas have upon the Agnishvattas which are the substance of each tier and petal. A very interesting interlocking network of vertical relationships is established and one realizes the higher Sources from which the egoic lotus is stimulated, nourished and sustained.

Egoic Lotus Webinar Commentaries 28: Analysis of Petals 8 and 9. This webinar is about 3 hours long and covers A Treatise on Cosmic Fire pages 541-542. Analysis of Petal 8: According to the Tibetan’s Statement: “2. The Petal of Love on the mental plane is unfolded through the conscious steady application of all the powers of the soul to the service of humanity with no thought of return nor any desire for reward for the immense sacrifice involved.”
Analysis of Petal 9: According to the Tibetan’s Statement: “3. The Petal of Sacrifice for the mental plane: demonstrates as the predominant bias of the soul as seen in a series of many lives spent by the initiate prior to his final emancipation. He becomes in his sphere the “Great Sacrifice.”
This stage can be seen objectively to the eye of the clairvoyant as dual in effect:

  1. The mental unit becomes a radiant point of light; its four spirillae transmit force with intense rapidity.
    b. The three higher petals unfold, and the nine-petalled lotus is seen perfected.”

Content for EGLWC Program 28: close attention is paid to the astrological, rayological and chakric implications related to the organization and unfoldment of Petals 8 and 9. This is in preparation for wider correlations to be attempted in relation to all petals after what DK has said about them specifically is analyzed. We focus now on the climactic results of one of the most important phases of human evolution, leading to the third initiation.

Egoic Lotus Webinar Commentaries 27: Analysis of Petal 7. This webinar is about 3 hours, 17 minutes long and covers A Treatise on Cosmic Fire page 541. Analysis of Petal 7: According to the Tibetan’s Statement: “The Petal of Knowledge for the mental plane; its unfoldment marks the period wherein the man consciously utilizes all that he has gained or is gaining under the law for the definite benefit of humanity.
Each of the groups of petals is distinguished by a predominant colouring; Knowledge, on the physical plane, with the colouring of the other two subsidiary; Love, on the astral plane, with the light of sacrifice weaker in tone than the other two, which practically show forth in equal brilliancy. On the mental plane, the light of sacrifice comes to its full display, and all that is seen is coloured by that light.”
Content for EGLWC Program 27: close attention is paid to the astrological, rayological and chakric implications related to the organization and unfoldment of Petal 7. This is in preparation for wider correlations to be attempted in relation to all petals after what DK has said about them specifically is analyzed. An important question is herein discussed: “When is the Rod of Initiation applied to the seventh petal (and the eighth and ninth) for that matter. Is it on the point of petal organization? Is it after the petal has been somewhat unfolded through the strenuous and abnormal effort of the candidate? Or is it upon the completion of the unfoldment of the petal? Much reasoning in relation to important references is undertaken in this program.

Egoic Lotus Webinar Commentaries 26: Analysis of Petal 6. This webinar is about 2 hours, 16 minutes long and covers A Treatise on Cosmic Fire pages 540-541. Analysis of Petal 6: According to the Tibetan’s Statement: “The Petal of Sacrifice for the astral plane; unfoldment is brought about by the attitude of man as he consciously endeavours to give up his own desires for the sake of his group. His motive is still somewhat a blind one, and still coloured by the desire for a return of that which he gives and for love from those he seeks to serve, but it is of a much higher order than the blind sacrifice to which a man is driven by circumstances as is the case in the earlier unfoldment. As this threefold enlightenment or unfoldment proceeds, again a dual result is seen:

The astral permanent atom comes into full activity and radiance, as regards five of its spirillae, and the two atoms of the physical and the astral planes are equally vibrant.
The three petals of the central ring of the egoic lotus come also into full unfoldment, and the heart centre of the Monad is seen as a wheel of fire with six of its spokes in full display of energy and rapidly rotating.”

Egoic Lotus Webinar Commentaries 25: Analysis of Petal 5. This webinar is about 2 hours, 15 minutes long and covers A Treatise on Cosmic Fire page 540. Analysis of Petal 5: According to the Tibetan’s Statement: “The Petal of Love for the astral plane; unfoldment is brought about through the process of gradually transmuting the love of the subjective nature or of the Self within. This has a dual effect and works through on to the physical plane in many lives of turmoil, of endeavour and of failure as a man strives to turn his attention to the love of the Real.”

Egoic Lotus Webinar Commentaries 24: Analysis of Petal 4. This webinar is about 2 hours, 15 minutes long and covers A Treatise on Cosmic Fire page 540. Analysis of Petal 4: According to the Tibetan’s Statement: “The Petal of Knowledge, for the astral plane; unfoldment is brought about by the conscious balancing of the pairs of opposites, and the gradual utilisation of the Law of Attraction and Repulsion. The man passes out of the Hall of Ignorance where, from the egoic point of view, he works blindly and begins to appreciate the effects of his physical plane life; by a realisation of his essential duality he begins to comprehend causes.”

Egoic Lotus Webinar Commentaries 23: Analysis of Petals 2 and 3. This webinar is about 3 hours, 24 minutes long and covers A Treatise on Cosmic Fire pages 539-540. Analysis of Petal 2 and 3: According to the Tibetan’s Statement: “The Petal of Love for the physical plane. Unfolds through physical relationships, and the gradual growth of love from love of self to love of others.” And: “The Petal of Sacrifice for the physical plane. This unfoldment is brought about through the driving force of circumstances, and not of free will. It is the offering up of the physical body upon the altar of desire—low desire to begin with, but aspiration towards the end, though still desire. As man in the early stages of his evolution is polarised on the physical, much of this is undergone unconsciously and without any realisation of what is being consummated, but the result in the causal body is seen in a twofold increase of heat or of activity:

The physical permanent atom becomes radioactive or a radiant point of fire.
The lower three petals become vibrant and begin to unfold until fully developed.”

Egoic Lotus Webinar Commentaries 21: Introduction to the Egoic Lotus from A Treatise on Cosmic Fire. This webinar is about 3 hours, 21 minutes long and covers A Treatise on Cosmic Fire pages 536-539. In this program we begin our study of the egoic lotus as Master DK presents it in detail. This first program is, however, rather abstract, and deals with the causal body and its relation to similar structures in certain higher Beings and the manner in which those higher Beings, such as the Planetary Logos, feed the egoic lotus with energy. The idea is presented that the egoic lotus is the heart center of the monadic system of energies. The numbering of the parts of the egoic lotus is explored from several different perspectives, as well as the fires and their divisions which are involved in the functioning of the lotus. In this section the egoic lotus is presented as an expression of fire and not as substance, per se.

Egoic Lotus Webinar Commentaries 20: The Stages of Development of Some Types of Monads and the Relation of these Stages to Egoic Lotus Unfoldment. This webinar is about 2 hours, 2 minutes long and covers A Treatise on Cosmic Fire page 1081. In this program we study a list of thirteen stages of monadic expression (out of many possible). Monads are of various types and origins, but the stages of unfoldment through which they pass have commonalties which are expressed in this list of thirteen. There is some possibility that each stage may be related to work in and unfoldment of the twelve petals and the final liberation of the “Jewel in the Lotus”. This possibility will be explored. Because the Tibetan says nothing about the names of these monadic stages, other than simply giving them, the intuition and higher mind will have to be evoked to produce some possibility of understanding.

This webinar is about 2 hours, 17 minutes long and covers A Treatise on Cosmic Fire pages 1082-1083. In this program we study a list of sixteen types and origins of Monads. The names are fascinating and thought-provoking though not easy of interpretation. The different types and origins suggest different kinds of focus within the egoic lotus and different degrees of unfoldment. These are brought forward for discussion. In the next program the degree of unfoldment of various types of Monads is analyzed in accordance with their names.

Egoic Lotus Webinar Commentaries 14: Crises of the Soul Completed. This webinar is about 1 hour, 2 minutes long and covers Esoteric Astrology pages 278-279 and 472. In this program we continue to focus on the Crises of the Soul in relation to the egoic lotus.. Our particular focus at first is upon nine signs of the zodiac which are not included in the three preliminary Signs of Crisis—Leo, Libra and Capricorn. We see how these nine prepare the man to face the crises indicated by at least two of the first three. We cannot say how the signs of the zodiac prepare animal man to face the Crisis if Individualization. Then we study Seven Crises of the Soul, in which five the signs among the previous nine are also considered signs of crisis. The seven Crises of the Soul are explained and their relations to developments within various petals are considered.

This webinar is about 2 hours, 2 minutes long and covers Esoteric Astrology pages 70-71 and Esoteric Psychology Vol II pages 245-246. This program focuses on a discussion of the various planets which are involved in each of the first five major initiates—from the Birth of the Christ in the Heart, to Mastership. The reason why these planets are rightly involved in each initiation is elucidated, from the ray as well as astrological perspective. Two sets of references are used and each provides a different angle of vision. The areas of the egoic lotus involved in each initiatory phase are indicated.

Egoic Lotus Webinar Commentaries 11: Six Chakric Triangles. This webinar is about 1 hour, 1 minute long and covers A Treatise on Cosmic Fire pages 168-171. This program focuses on an examination of six types of chakric triangles which are activated a different stages of human evolution. These are named or relate to: the pranic triangle; man controlled from the astral plane; man controlled from the mental plane; Man partially controlled by the Ego, advanced man; spiritual man to the third initiation; spiritual man to the fifth initiation. The various triangles are related to the unfoldment of tiers of petals and also to individual petals. Petal unfoldment and chakric development occur in a parallel manner. The climax of all chakric unfoldment is also analyzed, for, paradoxically, it transcends the existence of the egoic lotus.

Egoic Lotus Webinar Commentaries 10: The Varieties of Egoic Lotuses. This webinar is about 3 hours, 34 minutes long and covers A Treatise on Cosmic Fire pages 840-844. Continued preliminary material necessary for a more complete study of the egoic lotus. Program 10 discusses in depth five kinds of “lotuses of the first circle”: Lotuses in Bud, Brahmic Lotuses, Lotuses of Brahman, Primary Lotuses and Lotuses of Passion and Desire. The origin of these lotuses, the place and period in which they were individualized, and their period of eventual attainment are carefully considered. The student will come to an important understanding of just how long and slow the process of egoic lotus unfoldment can be. As usual the Ten Soul Groups and Eight Stages of Adaptation are related to the types of Egoic Lotuses.

Egoic Lotus Webinar Commentaries 9: The Thirty-Three Stages of Appropriation. This webinar is about 1 hour long and covers Esoteric Psychology Vol II, pages 77-80. Continued preliminary material necessary for a more complete study of the egoic lotus. Program 9 discusses the sixteen Stages of Appropriation of matter/form and the seventeen Stages of Appropriation of soul/spirit. Each of these is interesting and we have passed through so many of them. These stages can, of course, be correlated with the Eight Stages of Adaptation and the Ten Groups of Souls. The insightful student can also discover the chakras which are operative during these thirty-three stages. The number thirty-three is, itself, interesting, relating to the Christ—the Soul—and its descent into matte/form and its renascent into the life of the soul/spirit. Each group of petals and the petals individually enter into this process as may be expected. Some idea of how this is done is given—ranging from work within the Hall of Ignorance during the stage of appropriate of matter/form and moving towards the sacrifice petals as relinquishment of matter/form gains momentum.

Egoic Lotus Webinar Commentaries 8: Energy Transferences within the Etheric Body. This webinar is about 2 hours long and covers Esoteric Psychology Vol II pages 520-529. Continued preliminary material necessary for a more complete study of the egoic lotus. Program 8 discusses various energy transferences within the etheric body and how these transferences correlate with the Ten Soul Groups, the Eight Stages of Adaptation and unfoldment of various petals. Five and seven phases of energy transference are discussed and new perspectives offered. Always Master DK presents different angles of vision from those upon which the student may have settled. The grand vista of human evolution is presented to us with all its energy changes. How much really do we know about what goes on (from an energy perspective) at each of these phases?

Egoic Lotus Webinar Commentaries 1. This webinar is about 2 hours, 2 minutes long. In the study of our first foundational reference (Program 1) we move from Esoteric Psychology II, p. 200 – 203. This full reference will be completed at EP II p. 214. This webinar deals with the fundamentals of the study of the Egoic Lotus (studying various diagrams of the lotus—some, in interesting esoteric ways, more correct than others) and begins the task of looking at background references which are required to study the lotus in a foundational manner. The first such study of necessary references refers to the Five Groups of Souls (or Monads) who are taking incarnation on our Earth. It will be found that these groups, in general, have different numbers of petals unfolded.
