Techniques of Fusion and Duality Webinar Commentary 5 covers pages 396-401, and is about one hour and 30 minutes long. Topics include: 1): in-depth analysis and discussion of “Presented Attributes” as the keynote for initiatory meditation for those upon the third and seventh rays; 2): “Expressing Attributes” are those which are known and steadily emerging: such as knowledge, synthesis, beauty, science, idealism, order; 3): “Presented Attributes” are those which have been presented to the consciousness of the advanced disciples but cannot be understood or assimilated by the average individual; 4): “Undefined Attributes” are those attributes towards which the Christ, the Buddha and other very high Beings are striving; 5): “Presented Attributes” which characterize the soul cannot be expressed by any individual until the soul is known and achieving control; 6): the Christ presented the attribute of Love; 7): the Buddha presented the attribute of Wisdom; 8): “Plato endeavoured to picture forth the completeness of the Whole and the intricacy of the ideas which have come forth as an expression of that Whole “; 9): Plato, the Christ and the Buddha are considered to be Avatars; they were Avatars “possessed” by the attribute they presented; 10): the results of using the initiatory meditation on “Presented Attributes” are the following: a) the attributes already expressing themselves will achieve an intensified livingness in his life and in the environment he touches; b) the theme provides a fertile source of specialized divine expression involving the creative imagination; c) the use of the creative imagination becomes a definite field of service; this is an analogy to the work of the Divine Contemplatives or Nirmanakayas; 11): as we practice the expression of soul qualities we are preparing, later to present attributes; 12): through the techniques of Integration, Fusion and Duality the three rays of the personality, soul and Monad can be fused and blended; an eventually Unity emerges from a materialized Triplicity.

Techniques of Fusion and Duality Webinar Commentary 4 covers pages 393-396, and is about one hour and 30 minutes long. Topics include: 1): in-depth analysis and discussion of “Inclusive Reason”, the keynote of the second ray Technique of Fusion; 2): the themes for the three Techniques of Fusion are themes for initiatory meditation; 3): “meticulous entirety” is an important concept when dealing with the second ray Technique of Fusion; 4): other names for the second ray: a) the Ray of Detailed Unity; b) the Ray of the Divine Pattern; c) the ‘Ray of Beauty in Relationship’; 5): the words “isolated”, “detail” and “presented” do not indicate separativeness of any kind; 6): rather they “refer to the intricate internal life of the organised creation of God”; 7): to meditate upon the three keynotes for the three techniques the consciousness must be released from all pettiness and self-centeredness; 8): “The living structure as it expresses ideas, the intricate beauty of the inner relationships within the expressing Whole, the circulation of the energy which is working out the divine Idea, the points of force and local points of energy which act as power and light stations within that Whole—all these stand revealed to the man who is permitted, as a soul, to meditate upon such a phrase as inclusive reason”; 9): the “reason” of “inclusive reason” is “pure intuitional infallible comprehension”; 10): to benefit from meditation upon “Inclusive Reason”, one must meditate as a soul and not as a personality; 11): the results of meditation upon “Inclusive Reason” are as follows: a) the realization of the true significance of Light and the revelation of the meaning of the Heart of the Sun; direct and infallible illumination of the mind; b) the creative imagination will be occupied with those measures which will allow the individual to “throw the light” into dark places; c) intensified service to those in those dark places.

Techniques of Fusion and Duality Webinar Commentary 3 covers pages 391-393, and is about one hour and 30 minutes long. Topics include: 1): the three keynotes of the three techniques are Isolated Unity, Inclusive Reason and Presented Attributes; 2): at first the disciple must arrive at a practical, experimental and subjective understanding of the appropriate phrase of keynote for his soul ray; 3): in depth analysis and discussion of the phrase, “Isolated Unity”; 4): the results of meditation upon the theme “Isolated Unity” are as follows; a) a definite illumination of the mind; b) the creative imagination will be powerfully evoked so that the individual can become a creative co-operator with the Divine Plan; c) the life of the third ray disciple will be then inspired by the desire to serve humanity and to cooperate with the Custodians of the Plan; a temporary violent conflict between the soul ray and personality ray may result, but the personality ray is eventually subdued; 5): illumination, creativity through the creative imagination and inspiration are spontaneous; 6): the Technique of Fusion is applied by the soul and not by the struggling, aspiring disciple; 7): for the man to apply this technique, he must be merged with the soul in deep contemplation; he must decide and plan as a soul; 8): meditation upon “Isolated Unity” demands the use of the head center; 9): it requires the focusing of the consciousness in the spiritual body and the simultaneous preservation of soul consciousness, mind consciousness and brain consciousness; 10): definition of “Isolated Unity” from the Old Commentary: “the intensest reflection of the man, isolated in God Who is the negation of isolation and is nevertheless the Whole which is set apart from other Wholes”.; 11): in “Isolated Unity” the man is at-one with the Whole, not just theoretically, but in full, waking, understanding awareness.

Techniques of Fusion and Duality Webinar Commentary 2 covers pages 384-391, and is about two hours long. Topics include: 1): the Technique of Fusion brings the mind to the etheric-physical body and into control of that vehicle; 2): it brings the soul consciousness into conscious control of the astral vehicle; 3): it brings the will aspect into conscious control of the mind; 4): the Technique of Fusion is a threefold technique conditioned by the qualities of the first, second and third rays; 5): the Technique of Fusion produces illumination through the evocation of the will and the awakening of the center at the base of the spine center and its relationship to the highest head center; 6): the base of the spine center is awakened by an act of will—defined here interestingly; 7): the Technique of Fusion so stimulates the faculty of imagination that an all-inclusive love is increasingly expressed; the heart center is awakened into full activity; 8): the Technique of Fusion also brings creativity and inspiration to the physical plane life; this brings the rounded-out activity of the throat center; 9): on the Path of Initiation the Technique of Duality sees the full-conditioned functioning of the two major head-centers to completion—the ajna center and the highest head center; 10): the thousand petalled lotus relates to the spirit or life aspect and the ajna center relates to the matter or form aspect; 11): if one understands the rays one has a new method of awakening the chakras; 12): on the Path of Probation the outer half of the petals of any lotus are awakened; 13): on the Path of Discipleship the inner half of the petals of any lotus are awakened; 14): on the Path of Initiation the center of the lotus is awakened, and this involves the Technique of Fusion and of Duality; 15): the Techniques of Fusion bring about the illumination of the mind, the imaginative capacity of the sentient body, and the inspired life; 16): disciples upon the minor rays employs one of the three Techniques of Fusion; 17): the fourth and sixth ray disciples employ the Technique of Fusion for ray two; 18): the fifth ray disciples employs the Technique of Fusion for ray one; 19): it is inferred that the seventh ray disciple employs the Technique of Fusion for ray three; 20): there follows a section in which the results of the use of the Technique of Fusion by the three ray types is clearly described; 21): the source and energies for each type of fusion are also described; 22): in each case the energy comes from the Monad (a particular aspect of the Monad) and makes its ways through the spiritual triad, the egoic lotus, one of the personality vehicles, and into the chakras of the etheric body; 23): the source for the energies relates to the first ray Technique of Fusion is still in question; it is probably the Monad, but whether or not it is the Will Aspect of the Monad is still uncertain; perhaps the energy comes from the logoic plane; 24): a study of the results in each technique are important as are the lines of descent of the fusing energies; 25): curiously the first ray technique has a first ray result—illumination; 26): the second ray technique has a third ray result—imagination; 27) the third ray technique has a first ray result—inspiration; 28): in this way additional needed potencies are added to each ray expression; 29): the fusing energy for the third ray technique originates in the “will aspect of the Monad” and then involves the higher mind; one wonders if the activity aspect of the Monad is not also involved; 30): is the Will Aspect of the Monad also involved in the first ray technique?; if so the energy moves directly to the atmic plane; 31): the student should memorize the three alignments given and practice them through visualization to see which alignment resonates most strongly; 32): the Technique of Fusion completes that which is set in motion by the Technique of Integration; 33): the Technique of Duality is related to the third initiation; 34): the rules of the Technique of Duality are not given but one wonders if the Old Commentary Stanzas for the merging of the “Angel of the Presence” with the disciple do not hint at these rules.

Techniques of Fusion and Duality Webinar Commentary 1 covers pages 378-384, and is about two hours long. Topics include: 1): the Technique of Fusion leads to the emergence into controlling prominence of the personality ray; 2): the study of the Technique of Duality leads to an understanding of the relationship which should exist between the ray of the soul and the ray of the personality; 3): the processes of Integration, Fusion and Duality are associated with the final stages of the Path of Evolution; 4): the Technique of Integration is a sevenfold technique and is applied on the Path of Probation; 5): the Technique of Fusion is a threefold technique and is applied on the Path of Discipleship; 6): the Technique of Duality is applied upon the Path of Initiation; 7): these techniques can only be utilized by those possessed of the Aryan consciousness; 8): the Aryan consciousness can be found in all racial types; 9): Integration here refers to the bringing into one field of resultant magnetic activity of five differing types of energy; 10): here is a useful definition of personality: “one potent vortex of force is then set up which eventually becomes so systematised and integrated that we call its aggregated expression Personality “; 11): five energies are brought into close relationship with each other; “These five energies, when rightly related to each other produce one active force centre”; 12): the Monad can then work through these five; 13): “The Technique of Fusion deals with the production of a close interplay of the five above enumerated aspects of energy which have been, in due time, integrated into a unity.”; 14): fusion produces the emergence of personality activity; 15): eventually the quality of the personality ray in its higher aspects emerges into expression; 16): “Gradually, the qualities of the personality energy are transmuted into those of the ego or soul”; 17): the Technique of Fusion is sometimes called the Technique of Transmutation; 18): the transmutation is the transmutation of the higher aspects of the personality ray into those of the soul; 19): the Technique of Duality is applied by those who know no sense of separateness; 20): accepted disciples and initiates will understand what is said about the Technique of Fusion; 21): the Technique of Duality concerns the primary duality of spirit and matter; 22): the Technique of Fusion can be used by the man who is conscious of personality power and whose mind is dominating the emotional-sentient nature; additionally his personality is fast integrating; he is oriented towards the soul and the soul is sometimes forcefully projecting itself into his life and consciousness; 23): for the man using the Technique of Fusion, several processes are occurring simultaneously and this creates difficulty: the mind is emerging, the personality vehicles are coming into closer relation, the personality ray is making its presence felt and the soul ray is projecting itself into the life; 24): the motive of those who are to use the Technique of Fusion is soul control, service and cooperation with the Plan; 25): the Technique of Fusion is a threefold technique and not a sevenfold technique like the Technique of Integration; 26): the Technique of Fusion brings increasing illumination to the mind, imagination to the astral body and inspiration into the physical-etheric vehicle.
